| As I sit here on my Airbus A320 scheduled for LAX and the Virtual Worlds Conference and Expo, still at the gate, waiting for another plane to arrive as our pilots don't like ours, I reflect. It has been a busy few months for Bonnie and I here at mindhive. | We have been lucky to have seen each corner of the gaming world from a very intimate viewpoint, as Media Sponsors of each of the largest most influential events in each genre. While Casual, Console and Handheld Games along with Traditional MMOs and Virtual Worlds appear on the surface to be drastically different products, they are all, at the core, computer entertainment. The entire gaming industry is moving forward at breakneck pace inserting itself into demographics and other forms of popular media never imagined before.
Tomorrow and Thursday I will listen to the best and the brightest of the Virtual World industry tell their story. How they see the future. What they envision the challenges and successes will be. I will test products, engage in debates and bring all of the news to you, our members. What a perfect event to cap off our fall conference season. |
