Hi all,
Its getting close to a year since Buzzo and Svetlana handed me the keys to Mindhive as they moved onto new pastures. In that time I've been mainly a caretaker just keeping it as it is. I suppose it would be great to get any thoughts people have about it. Whether people are happy with the current state of affairs. Obviously its quite a sleepy forums by say EF standards but the discussions that we have seem to be quite deep thoughtful stuff especially on SPONG or games in general. It seems like a good place to get your voices heard. Its always a question I had was should we actively try and get new members, or just leave it as it is. Some lists of things I have include to upgrade the forum to Version 3 of IPB. Although think its such a big upgrade I'll probably do quite a bit of testing on a test system before even going live with that. So if anyone has any thoughts and feedback do post here! |

Well, my thoughts in general are that i didn't get why the site had to change names so often in such a short time. That pretty much killed most of the userbase. :S

That pretty much killed most of the userbase. :S Well there was probably always that price, but it was something that I think Buzzo and Sveta felt strongly about with the vision they had before they eventually had to decide about moving on. From my point of view its done and dusted, there isn't much that we can do or unwind the changes. At the end of the day I'll maintain the site as is, unless people have views. Which is what this thread is all about really. Always happy to hear peoples thoughts etc... But if people aren't fussed either then I'll keep things running as normal. |

Cool, well I think I'll at least look into the upgrade for the forum in any case.
I'm also thinking about putting in a new forum, which will effectively be reviews of games, although perhaps with some differences to the standard reviews that you get. Play a lot of games in a wide range of genres, so quite keen to start talking about them. |
