PAX08: Guild Wars and Jumpgate Evolution PDF Print E-mail

One of the more popular booths was without a doubt NCSoft's Guild Wars. With a lineup all weekend 20 strong and tournaments throught the day, it was tough to get a good look at this one, unless you happen to be wearing a little yellow badge that said Media on it. Guild Wars is massively popular MMOG that contains quests, competitive and cooperative game play, skills, professions and PvP. The community is very large and graphics quality. If you are into guilds and a dark fantasy type of feel, this is definitely one product you should check out.

Another popular booth was Jumpgate Evolution. Jumpgate is a space battle MMOG, and it is stunning. I may be biased here though as I definitely noticed I have a tendency to gravitate towards the space genre at the show. The likes of EVE, Sins of a Solar Empire and Jumpgate Evolution all of which will be making their way to my PC shortly. Jumpgate is a fast moving visually stimulating experience. For the show, NetDevil had teamed up with Dolby Surround for a truly immersive experience. I didn't want to leave this booth.

One final note, Little Big World for console was so much pure fun I could not stop laughing and smiling. Buy it when it comes out, you won't be disappointed.
